Nominate your favorite local business for
the 2026 “Best New Business” Award!
We need your help to recognize the best new businesses that model excellent customer service, invest in their employees and simply making Van Buren and Cass better places to live.
A strong award candidate will:

Must have opened their doors between January 1, 2024 and January 1, 2026.

Must have a local presence, which means that they produce a product or provide a service in Cass or Van Buren County.

Must employ a minimum of two people.

Business owners do not count as the minimum of two people.

Vendors, consignment, investors, or sponsors are not included.

Home-based businesses are not eligible for nomination; the business must have a physical presence within Cass or Van Buren County that exists outside of a residential home.

Business expansions do not qualify.

Opening a secondary location does not qualify.

Nominations will be accepted until March 25, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET.
Two winners will be selected: one from Cass County and one from Van Buren County.

Self-nominations for this award are both accepted and encouraged. Winners will be selected on a number of factors, including the number of high-quality nominations they receive. Businesses should not solicit community members to complete the nomination form with answers that have provided ahead of time; nominations with identical responses will not be accepted.
