​Community Development Director

Katie Vanderhulst is the Community Development Director for Market One. She plays a pivotal role in driving economic and community development across Cass and Van Buren Counties. With a focus on grant development, strategic planning, and fostering partnerships, Katie connects regional stakeholders to funding opportunities and ensures the successful execution of initiatives that promote economic prosperity.

 

In her previous role as a Business Development Specialist, Katie successfully secured over $15 million in grant funds for various community projects. Today, as the Community Development Director at Market One, Katie leverages her extensive grant administration experience and deep connections within Cass and Van Buren Counties to drive economic growth and community development.

 

Katie holds a bachelor’s degree in English with a focus on Rhetoric and Writing from Western Michigan University, and a minor in Sociology. In addition to her degree, she is a Certified Grant Administrator and holds an associate's in Project Management.
